Make your Fourth of July lit with these Sam’s Club items

Fourth of July festivities will undoubtedly be very different for most Americans this year. But just because you’re missing out on a dollop of Aunt Gertrude’s famous coleslaw, or unable to wear that questionable island print shirt to the neighborhood block party (it’s not slimming, sir), doesn’t mean you can’t celebrate all things U-S-A with a little help from Sam’s Club.

We spoke with some of our merchants – you know, people who buy things for a living – to see which exciting Sam’s Club items they’re purchasing for a social-distancing-friendly Fourth of July.

Anthony Sumlin, Merchant - Produce

“For the Sumlin family, we typically do a weekend getaway over the Fourth of July to see family in Memphis. Just because we are staying home this year doesn’t mean we aren’t doing it up big though! I plan on grilling fresh asparagus to accompany some Prime grade ribeye steaks from Sam’s Club. Then I look forward to some patio time and taking my wife’s title in Connect Four.”

Stephen Koehler, Senior Merchant – Deli/Cooler

“I have a two-year-old daughter, which means for the past couple of years I have laid awake cringing at the sound of my neighbors’ fireworks in fear they would wake her! At this age she is into everything – so it will be fun seeing her experience fireworks for the first time. We are going with the classic Fourth of July fare: Member’s Mark Hot Dogs (so good), the Member’s Mark Brisket Baked Beans and some Bomb Pops!”

Monica De Abreu, Merchant – Toys

“My husband and I usually take a trip out of state over the Fourth of July (still thinking of all the fun we had in Nashville last year). But this year we’ll be in the backyard grilling some juicy steaks from Sam’s Club, enjoying delicious Member’s Mark Avocado Salsa and sipping a Member’s Mark Paso Robles Cabernet. And, if I’m lucky, my husband will be doing all of the hard work while my daughter and I swim in the pool 😊.”

Nick Scheidler, Senior Merchant – Baby

“My wife and I are starting our new Fourth of July tradition with our 10-month-old daughter, Vivienne. And while our new tradition will be different this year, for the better, there are some familiar “friends” who will be in attendance – the Member’s Mark Ultra Printed Paper Plates and Member’s Mark Paper Towels! No matter what we decide to eat that day, we know these items will reduce our time spent on messes so we can enjoy our time together.”
