We’re putting together a roster of student-athletes that compete in a variety of NCAA men’s and women’s sports from universities across the country. The only catch – they’re all named Sam.

At Sam’s Club, we’re committed to providing opportunities for our associates, our members, and our communities. That’s why when the NCAA opened the door for college student-athletes to work with brands, we knew it was time to draw up the perfect play. So, we’ve found our starting four, but we still have six open roster spots for our inaugural team of Sam’s Club Athletes.

“College athletics is a natural fit for Sam's Club, which offers game day essentials — no matter the sport — including tailgating must-haves for your gameday spread, seasonal collegiate gear, electronics and more,” said Megan Crozier, chief merchant at Sam’s Club. Supporting these athletes gives us a chance to connect with members in a new way, support students and rally behind many under-represented collegiate sports. It’s a win-win.”

Each selected athlete will receive $10,000 from Sam’s Club. Our scouts have already found athletes who exemplify sportsmanship, passion and know a great deal about the power of teamwork, much like Sam’s Club’s founder, Sam Walton.

So, if you’re an eligible student-athlete with Sam in your legal first name, tell us why you should be drafted by stitching or dueting this TikTok*. No combine or agents required to join this winning team! Click here for full Official Rules.

Our starting lineup includes:

Samieryah Bradwell

Samieryah Bradwell

Women’s Track & Field, University of Central Florida
A 5-foot-11, redshirt sophomore from Tallahassee, Fla., Bradwell is already making a name for herself as an up-and-coming collegiate sprinter. Her blazing speed helped propel the Knights’ 4x400 team to a 2nd-place finish at the most recent American Indoor Track & Field Championships, and to 4th place at the American Outdoor Track & Field Championships.

Sam Pinckney

Sam Pinckney

Football, Georgia State University
Pickney has used his 6-foot-4, 210-pound frame to cement a spot as one of the top wide receivers in the Sun Belt Conference. Over the past two seasons, the redshirt junior from Greenwood, S.C., has hauled in 83 catches for 1,275 yards and 12 touchdowns in 19 games. He ranks 4th in school history in touchdown receptions and was named to the 2020 and 2021 Biletnikoff Award Watch List.

Samantha Sakti

Samantha Sakti

Gymnastics, University of California at Los Angeles
The senior from Arcadia, Calif., emerged as a mainstay in the UCLA lineup last season, chalking up personal bests of 9.8 on vault, 9.95 on beam and 9.925 on floor. Sakti is a 2021 Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports Scholar for her performances in the classroom and in the gym. She earned Pac-12 Conference Specialist of the Week accolades in 2020 and has proven to be at her best in the clutch. Sakti is primed for a breakout season.

Sam Estrada

Sam Estrada

Women’s Soccer, Southern Methodist University
A 6-foot, redshirt junior from El Paso, Texas, Estrada continues to work her way up the goalkeeping ranks with the Mustangs. She recorded a game-high eight saves against East Carolina University this year, while notching a pair of wins, a tie, and a shutout last year. She was named to the American Athletic Conference All-Academic Team 2019 and 2020, and figures to make her biggest mark between the stripes this season.
